Meet Miss Jessica! She has been teaching students as young as 2 years old since 2006. Her favorite styles to teach are pom and jazz. Miss Jessica grew up in Forest Hills, Michigan, and now lives with her husband, Josh, and their dogs, Molly & Moxie. Outside of WME, Jessica likes to be outdoors, hiking, camping, and being on the water.

I have always envisioned WME to be a safe place for any child to not feel judged, gain confidence, and create new friendships. Our students are amazing humans who have the kindest hearts. "
Miss Sammi
Meet Miss Sammi! She is one of our Itty Bitty teachers. She grew up in Grandville dancing since the age of 2. Her favorite styles are tap and lyrical. Miss Sammi is currently working towards becoming a nurse. Besides going to school and teaching dance, Miss. Sammi loves to travel, hike, kayak, hunt, and fish. Her favorite thing while teaching is to see the joy in the kid's eyes when they learn something new as well as making an impact on their lives. Miss Sammi was on the Alma College Dance Team!
Miss Jessica
Meet Miss Melanie! She grew up in Grand Rapids, MI and began dancing at 7 years old! Her favorite styles are ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. Miss Melanie is a stay-at-home mom and loves to paint, read, watch shows, and work at her church! She has been married since 2013 and has two wonderful kids and one more on the way! Miss Melanie and her husband run the children's deparment at their church in Standale and participating in events for their community!
TEACHER
Meet Miss Kathleen! She grew up in Rockford, MI and began dancing at 2 years old! She started competing at the age of 10. Her favorite styles are ballet, pointe, and tap! Miss Kathleen works for an environmental engineering firm and enjoys advocacy work, volunteering, and most of all just spending time with her two beautiful daughters who also dance at WME. They have two cats, Gretchen Kitmer and Scarf. Her favorite moments while teaching is when the “lightbulb” moments happen and a student finally gets something they have been working on perfecting.

Miss Melanie
Meet Miss Abby! She is one of our Competitive Teachers. She grew up in Woodhaven, MI dancing since the age of 4 and started competitively at the age of 6. Her favorite styles are Contemporary and Hip-Hop. Miss Abby finished her B.A. in Criminal Justice. Besides teaching dance, Miss. Abby loves yoga and cats. Her favorite things while teaching are when we can connect dance lessons in with life lessons
